Note to self regarding sock lint
Don't wear your dark grey socks and jog on the treadmill and then take your socks off and walk on your off-white carpet that you just vacuumed, okay?

I'll add this based on experience: never a wise idea to walk around on hardwoods that haven't been cleaned in a while with white socks. The bottoms get un-pretty with a quickness.
