Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem,
Shine upon us until the glory dawns.
Give us the lamp to light the way,
Unto the land of perfect day,
Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem shine on.
by R. Fisher Boyce
I made this 8-1/2 x 11" collage before Thanksgiving and before it seemed like everything was turned upside down. If you are lucky enough to be one of the 40+ people to receive a Christmas card from me, this is where I got the photo on the front from. If you do not receive a card from me, please consider this your card. Merry Christmas!
Going through my address book every year to do Christmas cards is a little depressing...You see, I just can't erase the addresses of people who've passed away. It's somehow my memorial to them. But then I need to focus on all the new friends God has given me. I seem to add more each year. Do you feel this way, too?

what a beautiful piece, kim... thank you for posting it!
i don't even have an address book... i am so pitiful... i did get christmas cards this year though... and we just picked our photo to send with them. i didn't want anything "predictable," (i.e., all of us dressed in red) so we picked a photo of us when we went to san francisco this summer. it's a great shot of us in front of a door that is wooden and has a peace symbol carved in it. i think that's fitting for christmas...
woo-hoo!!! i can make comments now!!! :-) how did you fix it??
oh, one more comment... i totally look like a blog stalker now... i've been meaning to ask you if i can link you on my blog?? i always have to go through melanie's to get to yours... do you mind??
