You should rig something so that next time a door-to-door landscaper comes by, he trips on invisible fishing line that stretches from one side of your porch to the other.
And, regarding your vent comment, I think it's far more credible to have a few points of meaningful beauty in your yard that a sea of perfectly-cut green grass and generic flowerbeds.

Ha, ha!!! I also want to ask, "Can you prove that my dog won't get cancer from that stuff you spray on the lawn?"
And can he prove that YOU won't be subjected to the air particles?
