Went into Perfect Peace (a Christian bookstore) on Monday and felt a little uncomfortable. Why? With me being a Christian most of my life, why should I of all people feel uncomfortable in a Christian bookstore?After seeing the life-sized cutout of Michael W. Smith for his new album, I realized it was the commercialism. That fake "buy this and you will be a better Christian" type of feeling. I know they need to advertise, but I don't have to like it.

oh, girlfriend... don't even get me started here. it seems like this goes against the very thing Jesus stood for.... it doesn't make any sense to me. just those words together, christian commercialism... hm.... what's wrong with that picture?? you are not alone in this feeling, be assured....
