Juicy airmass

The following is a statement from our local paper weather section for watches, warnings, and advisories:

THUNDERSTORMS WILL BECOME MORE NUMEROUS THIS MORNING AND TRACK SLOWLY SOUTHEAST ACROSS EASTERN KANSAS TODAY. HEAVY RAINFALL WILL BE POSSIBLE DUE TO THE SLOW STORM MOVEMENT...AND JUICY AIRMASS YIELDING HIGH RAINFALL RATES.

No, not another juicy airmass!!!

  1. that's about as bad as the term "slc". for all you non-bobbleheaded channel 10Kansans, "slc" stands for "scary looking cloud".

funnyman jmr calls it something else: "sfc" or "bfc". (it doesn't take a Kansan to figure *that out.)

    *hope i didn't just ruin your blog's G rating

    Hi Kim--
I like the use of "juicy" in the forecast. Informal use of juicy can mean substantial, large, sizable or generous.

    and so it goes...
