My 8 year old son found a beautiful caterpillar and put it in a jar with grass, twigs, leaves, etc. It ate and ate and ate and finally made his cocoon. We waited...and waited. The day finally came when he emerged. It was a plain ol' ugly moth. We were a little disappointed. :)
Hi Kim --
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful butterfly. Looks like it might be a swallow tail. One of God's wonders.
Aunt Jan
How beautiful.

Reminds me of that book by Eric Carle, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar."
ReplyDeleteI think all the insects in your neighborhood think your yard is the coolest place to hang out. You get some amazing pictures of them.
