In view of me listening to the new Jars of Clay CD
Good Monsters ,oh, about 15 times this week on Rhapsody and the above "pots of clay", I appropriately named this post Good Monsters.
Jars of Clay has a new sound (or new to me), pretty cool! Some of the songs on this album remind me of Smashmouth, Tom Petty, and Roy Orbison. Personally, I only have their first "tape" and thought their Christmas songs were a bit lacking, so I'm pleasantly surprised!
Not all monsters are bad, but the ones who are good
Never do what they could, never do what they could
We are bored of all the things we know
Do you know what you are
'Cause we are, we are so in love with ourselves
And we are forms of all the things we love.

Very pretty stuff.
i'm not able to view the pictures.... dang it!! i wanna see!!!!
yes, jars of clay's "new sound" is amazing. i think they sound a lot like the killers, who i LOVE!!! but at the same time, they have their own unique sound... i think they finally decided to be real with who they are and what they believe and i think we're hearing it in this new album. i read this great article here that talks about the making of this album. you might enjoy it!
I'm not a HUGE jars of clay fan but I am a huge fan of your jars of clay! :) I especially like the last one; so cute, so unique. I would put my tea bags in it.
I used to listen to jars of clay way back in the day and I liked their lyrics. I love the aricles that the singer writes for relevant magazine too!
Thanks for sharing your work!!
Are you ever going to post photos of your diet cup and saucer?
ps)Thinking of you today as you are working. (Maybe you and Darla should have a wpm typing contest.)
Thanks everyone! Thanks Darla for the info on the article! If I did this right, the link for the dieter's plate and bowl is
